Planeswalkers are another example of cards you should always keep an eye on. This rule of thumb changed a bit since we now have uncommon planeswalkers as well. Planeswalkers (the mythic kind) are always potentially powerful because you will never know when certain abilities printed on them might become relevant in combination with cards from future sets.
