Competitive MTG Finance #1 - Wilds of Eldraine and Bowmasters
Hello! And thanks for checking out my first article on MTGStocks. You might have read some of my articles on Quiet Speculation or Galactic Treasures in the past, and I hope those were useful for you.
Iโm excited to start writing again, and Iโve decided to pick up where I left off as my new starting point at MTGStocks to deliver content to you.
Letโs jump right in and take a look at some of the things on my mind.
Pauper
When I think of Pauper right now, there are a few cards that immediately come to mind. One of them is
Lorien Revealed is also usually played as a four-of in most Dimir Terror decks, so thereโs a decent demand for playsets. Check out this 7th Place list from the MTGO Pauper Challenge on August 19, 2023 by DISCOVERN.
And although Lorien Revealed is a card from the current newest set,
Card Kingdom is buying non-foils for $1 cash or $1.30 in store credit. And theyโre buying foils for $4 cash or $5.20 in store credit. Remember, Lorien Revealed is a common! I dumped my playset of foils and an extra non-foil I had lying around from the Prerelease.
I also buylisted my foil playsets of
Wilds of Eldraine
Next up, let's talk about some cards from this new set thatโs coming out in September. One card I like is
A couple of common cards that I like for Pauper are
Orcish Bowmasters
This card is showing up in so many places. Vintage, Legacy, and Modern. Iโm not sure, but I have a feeling this card might eventually get banned. Itโs kind of warping gameplay of those formats and hindering decks quite a bit that leverage drawing cards as part of their gameplan.
My thought is to get rid of copies you have to lock in the value now. Regular copies are around $40 dollars. And you can sell regular copies to Card Kingdom for $33 cash or $42.90 in store credit. If I had any, Iโd get rid of them now.
I hope you enjoyed the article, and it was useful for you.
I look forward to providing you with much more useful content.
Respectfully,
Eddie
