Reserved List spikes are continuing, even the lesser known and lesser played cards are spiking this week. Also: some interesting moves in Legacy and EDH.
Once again, just in time for FNM, I will now tell you what cards will be the talk of the town tonight!

Sometimes crazy stuff happens. Savannah Lions spiking is one of those things. I had never thought that Savannah Lions, a obscure and obsolete rare from Revised would ever be the #1 winner. But it is. And to be honest, when looking at the facts of today, it might not be that surprising.
A new format that features the oldest cards in Magic is on the rise and it is driving up prices. 93/94 or Old School Magic is a format in which you can only use cards from those two years of Magic. After last week's article, many people pointed out that 93/94 does have a big impact on prices and that cards like Sedge Troll and Savannah Lions are important pieces in decks.
Maybe you'd think that Savannah Lions is on the Reserved list and therefor it is spiking this high. Newsflash: it is not on the reserved list. It even saw a reprint in Masters 25. It even got reprinted at common and is now a $0.15 card, but you will be able to find copies for $0.01 in online stores as well. 93/94 players are not keen to put a 2018 printing of Savannah Lions since it diminishes the 'old' feel of the deck.
But Goblin Bombardment is good in casual as well, at least, if you combine it with Squee, the Immortal. With that new legend printing, and Mana Echoes you can keep sticking Squee on your catapult. And besides that, any deck with many (or infinite tokens) can do the trick (as long as you have enough mana).
Noble Hierarch has seen quite the uptick this week as it won over 6% in value. A playset of them now costs you $20 more than last week and its price will probably don't drop back soon.
The card is a staple in both Modern and Legacy although Noble Hierarch sees play in more Modern decks. Its spike has more to do with Legacy though, since the Maverick archetype seems to be doing good. Both in paper and online tournaments. The current build differs a bit from its older build from a few years ago, when Maverick was one of the tier decks in Legacy.
And Noble Hierarch is not the only Legacy staple performing better due to Maverick's increase in popularity. Check out these other, well known stapes that have increased in price this week:
Just like last week, the Commander: Innistrad: Midnight Hunt spoilers are the main factor of influence on the markets this week. There are enough cards spoiled for the brewing to commence and we expect a lot more movement in the coming weeks!

For the first time since the COVID pandemic hit, our interest page looks like normal for a change! Many (huge) spikes from different sets and eras. I choose to see this as an omen of better times ahead!

The most interesting week in a long, long time! Maybe I'm a but biased due to my love for Legacy, but this week that format is the biggest driving factor behind the three weekly winners.

An interesting week, again driven by old card speculation and EDH. But we also have a special edition of Cheap Pickups, with a new way to look at cards that are (still) cheap pickups, but might go up later.

A strange and eventful week in the world of finance. Where you'd expect tons of cards to spike due to new brews, we mainly see a new hausse of reserved list cards being bought out. And also non-reserved list cards that happen to be MTG classics.
