Weekly Winners (45)
Today the fourth installment in your weekly MTG finance update! Just in time for tonight's FNM. Find out nowwhich cards will be the talk of the town tonight.
#0 Presenting: Foil prices
Let's start with a website announcement. SiLnce this week we also keep track of the foil prices of the cards. You can find them next to the low, medium and high prices, in the yellow column. We are looking into possibilities to also include a foil price graph, but that it not yet sure at this time.
#1 Ajani, Caller of the Pride (+7,3% | $7)
Ajani was already going up since the start of okober, and reached a plateau in the start of november, but as the card was featured in the SCG Open Los Angeles it went up again and reached a new plateau.
#2 Cursecatcher (+15% | $6)
Another Legacy champion for you this week. It's Legacy Merfolk's
What I can say however is that Cursecatcher's price is that high solely because it's a merfolk. Just take a quick look at
#3 True-Name Nemesis ( -11,3% | $35,47)
Yes it's strange, since this card has lost more than 10% since last week, but I still consider it a weekly winner. First of all, True-name Nemesis is so new, that prices don't say much at this time yet.
Second, it's been featured in several Legacy decks during the European Bazaar of Moxes tournament last weekend. And the funny thing is, that it's not the Merfolk archetype that utilizes Nemesis. For instance, Esper Stoneblade (and other control decks) use it to be able to place a (almost) unremovable clock while stacking up on counterspells and discard to prevent their opponents from casting something relevant.
For a more detailed analysis of this card, read Jarvis Yu's article on this new creature. You can find it on Gathering Magic.
#4 Oh, and before I forget: this guy is also a winner this week :-)
