Just this once, I'm writing and posting this article a day early. Tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday I will be attending the Grand Prix in Utrecht. So, once again, and in time for the Grand Prix, I present you the cards that will be the talk of the town this weekend.

 #1 Kolaghan's Command +76.5% ($3)

Kolaghan's Command

Kolaghan's Command is picking up steam in Modern, Standard and it even sees fringe play in Legacy. And no wonder, because it gives you two effects in one card, and you can choose whatever combination works best for you. But, do note that the card is played only 1 time in most decks. In the Legacy decks it is only in the sideboard once.

Because the card is so versatile, it lacks focus, and therefore it doesn't always give you the same amount of value. Destroying their one color fixing land AND their mana dork is very good, but you don't always have the optimal situation to get the most value out of it.

Because it is played only once in most decks and the card is a rare from a set very much still in print, its price is still very low. Expect this to pick up if and when the card proves itself in the coming months.

#2 Heritage Druid +32% ($15,83)

Heritage Druid

Heritage Druid is not in Modern Masters 2015. And if/when a new Modern Masters will be printed, it probably won't feature cards from Morningtide, so Heritage Druid seems a pretty safe investment. No new stock will be on the market soon and Elves sees more play in Modern (on MTGO at least) and elves is also Legacy archetype.

So, eternal play in 2 formats, it does not get reprinted so a safe investment. And speculators did buy Heritage Druid out. It was hard to find a playset in stores these past days. The price will dwindle a bit in the coming weeks, but it is safe to say the card will stick around a $12-$15 price range.

Bring your copies to the GP this weekend, you will probably be able to trade them away and get good value out of them. They are a hype now, and probably less next week.

#3 Blood Moon (Chronicles) +18.9% ($30.48)

Blood Moon

Blood Moon is not in Modern Masters 2015. And yes I copy-pasted this sentence out of the paragraph above. Blood Moon is a powerful sideboard card in Modern and Legacy and is still increasing in popularity and price. It has really become a sideboard staple. And since there will be no new copies on the market anytime soon (as far as we know) the price will go up.

And it is quite an accomplishment for a rare that has been reprinted four times, since its original printing in The Dark. Check out this compared graph:

More from Peter:

Weekly Winners 2021 - 36

Just like last week, the Commander: Innistrad: Midnight Hunt spoilers are the main factor of influence on the markets this week. There are enough cards spoiled for the brewing to commence and we expect a lot more movement in the coming weeks!

Like every week, just in time for (digital) FNM, I'll now tell you about the cards that will be the talk of the (digital) town tonight!

Catalyst Stone Daybreak Ranger Oboro, Palace in the Clouds

Weekly Winners 2021 - 13

This week we saw a lot of interesting movement. Most of it caused by Strixhaven spoilers, but the old frame fetchlands spiked as well.

Deserted Temple Mox Tantalite Windswept Heath

Weekly Winners 2021 - 12

For the first time since the COVID pandemic hit, our interest page looks like normal for a change! Many (huge) spikes from different sets and eras. I choose to see this as an omen of better times ahead!

Chain of Smog Illumination Magma Sliver

Weekly Winners 2021 - 10

Somewhat of an odd week. Not really any spikes that has one really obvious or notable reason and of course still a lot of older cards moving up.

Selective Memory Pearl Medallion Zombie Master

Weekly Winners 2021 - 08

The most interesting week in a long, long time! Maybe I'm a but biased due to my love for Legacy, but this week that format is the biggest driving factor behind the three weekly winners.

Ethereal Forager Stifle Allosaurus Shepherd

Weekly Winners 2021 - 07

An interesting week, again driven by old card speculation and EDH. But we also have a special edition of Cheap Pickups, with a new way to look at cards that are (still) cheap pickups, but might go up later.

Shivan Dragon Sapphire Medallion Elvish Champion

Weekly Winners 2021 - 05

A strange and eventful week in the world of finance. Where you'd expect tons of cards to spike due to new brews, we mainly see a new hausse of reserved list cards being bought out. And also non-reserved list cards that happen to be MTG classics.
